Pyrgos is a village in Santorini with centuries of history, and a place that still retains its charm on an extremely touristic island in Greece.
2nd stop Prophet Ilias
The Monastery of Prophet Elias (Prophet Elijah)
One of the many beautiful churches on the island of Santorini but certainly the most important of all. The Monastery was built in 1711 in the resemblance of a fortress and it is a stunning example of Cycladic architecture. During the first years, it played a very important role in the cultural and educational life of the people, as it operated as a school, where its students were taught the Greek language and Literature.
3d stop Megalochori village
Megalochori means “great village”
Sitting at the crossroads of Europe and the Middle East, the seas around Santorini have always been rich with trade.
But along with that wealth came real danger, as pirates from across the Mediterranean flocked to prey on passing traders and even enslave local villages.
Unlike many frightened and fortified towns around the Cyclades, Megalochori took a different attitude towards piracy and was considered to be a kind of haven for them, with numerous pirate hideaways dotted throughout the area, some of which remain today.

The light house
A Must-Visit Destination
The Akrotiri Lighthouse, located on the island’s most southwestern point, is one of the most beautiful places in Santorini, offering breathtaking views
The Lighthouse was erected in 1892 by a French trading company and it is still active today, emitting a dazzling white light over the sea every 10 seconds and contributing to the safety of passing ships.

Prehistoric town
of Akrotiri
a Cycladic Bronze Age settlement on the Santorini
The settlement was destroyed in the Theran eruption sometime in the 16th century BC and buried in volcanic ash, which preserved the remains of fine frescoes and many objects and artworks. Akrotiri has been excavated since 1967 after earlier excavations on Santorini.

Red beach
One of the most stunning and interesting beaches on the island
The volcanic eruptions led to the formation of this beautiful site that is visited by many tourists every year. Its surroundings by enormous volcanic rocks, the black and red pebbles and the sand of various colors, mainly red, compose a wild scenery that attracts all the visitors and captivates everyone from the minute they step their foot on this stunning place.
7th stop
Perissa
deep, dark blue waters and black lava sand
Perissa is a coastal village, located on the southeastern edge of the island, 13 kilometers away from the capital. It lies on the south base of Mesa Vouno mountain and is believed to be the place where the ancient city of Elefsina used to stand.

The reason most visitors come to Perissa is to take pleasure in the extraordinary beach, which is characterized by deep, dark blue waters and black lava sand. It is fully-organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars, lifeguards and a playground and it has received the Blue Flag Award. On top of that, there are water sports facilities, diving centers, a water park and a beach volley area to boost your experience

8th stop
Fira
the beautiful capital of the island
The biggest and most cosmopolitan settlement of Santorini. It is located in the western edge of the island, opposite the volcano and the two volcanic islands, Palaia Kammeni and Nea Kammeni that lie in the sea.

Access to Fira, besides the road routes from the port and the airport, is also feasible by cable car or through a donkey path from the port, for those seeking a traditional experience.

Fira is a combination of natural beauty, social life, night life and shopping.

9th stop
Firostefani
a magical place somewhere between Fira and Imerovigli
Although Firostefani village is considered a separate settlement, it is actually an extension of Fira, the capital of Santorini.
Well from here, the crown of Fira, the view is quite magnificent, giving visitors a different perspective of the volcano. The wild beauty of the caldera itself along with the volcano view composes a thrilling scenery. A walk around the narrow, quaint paths will sure fill you with joy.

Imerovigli
“The balcony to the Aegean”
The village of Imerovigli, also known as “The balcony to the Aegean”, is built on the highest point of the caldera cliffs, about 300 meters above sea level. It is situated at the north part of the island, 3 kilometers from the capital of Fira. Its position provides a magnificent view of the famous volcano, the sparkling Aegean Sea and the sunset that is out of this world.

Oia
the most beautiful village of Santorini
Oia is the most beautiful village of Santorini that recently started looking like a glamorous town, every day gathering thousands of people longing for seeing the famous Oia sunsets.
If you have time to visit just one place in the island – choose Oia. That’s what you’ve been dreaming of for so many years looking at the pictures of the white churches with bright blue domes.
Oia is located 11 km away from Fira and is a pedestrian town.
Most of the visitors come here to admire its unique architecture, captains’ houses, Blue Domes, cave houses and the sunset.
